Default 1988 Topps Company Store Inserts

I recently purchased a set of 14 different Topps Company Store advertising insert cards from the 1988 set. All are blank-backed except the one advertising the glossy set and one advertising a white sweatshirt. These two have the 1989 Spring Training contest marking them as 1988 for sure.

Question - Until I found these (and these are also listed at TCDB) I had thought the only advertising inserts in 1988 Topps were the glossy card ads, with their variations. I opened a ton of wax and never found a Company Store ad card.

Anyone know how these were distributed? Cello? Some other way? I found a video of a rack opening on Youtube but no Company Store cards there either.

Thanks!

Both the blank and fully-printed 1988 Comapny Store cards were issued in 1988 Topps Big, the blank versions are far more common than the printed ones.
