Default Sub-sets, Mini-sets & Back-runs

I've always been impressed by the collectors who spent years putting back runs and mini sets together to 100% complete. Many are extremely tough as they can include very expensive or rare cards. Some of my favorites include the 4 T206 Cobbs, Catchers, and Horizontals. I also admire the 4 Goudey Ruths and the T206 Portrait HOFers.

Though this was not the hardest, I've finally completed the T206 Horizontal sub-set with the Sovereign 150 Subjects in PSA. The Murphy, Pelty, and Powell are the highest graded Sov 150s by PSA. (Still looking to obtain the highest PSA graded for the other 3) I've purchased or traded a couple of these from Net54 members and I thank you. For those of you that sent them to auction and I won them, I thank you too!

Take a look and post any complete back run, mini or sub sets you have or had at one point.

Nice, love those horizontal T206s.

My only back run 10 of 15, don't know if I'll ever finish but would like to add at least one or two more in 2025.

I think the title of this thread summarizes my collection, as a whole. After I thought about it, I have 4 groups of cards that would be described as mini sets, subsets and/or backruns underway. Those groups encompass 90% of my collection.

I can’t wait to actually finish one of them to post! Two cards short on one project, one card short on another. I should be able to finish one or the other next year.

Great cards you all! They make my OCD happy.
Bob

Thanks Phil. I also have both of the T213 Coupons of Wiltse (Portrait and Pitching) but don't have good scans of those. And then the T205, T201 and T215 Red Cross subsets, but those are really just one Skeeter card per set so not really a "Sub-set". There aren't many JC cards I still need and most are not attainable for me so my JC team set is pretty much done at this point.

Default E221

I still need about 3 colors to finish the background colors of these. Good thing I am not in a hurry as they almost never come up for sale. And, as far as I know, this is the only purple one known. I got it for $200 about 20+ yrs ago, the first time then sold it, and paid about 45x that to get it back .

Default T205 short-print Cycles subset

I've finished this subset of 14 T205 short-prints with Cycle backs.

Cycles aren't especially rare for T205, but these are harder to find than most.

Hopefully, I'm not too late to the party AND hopefully, a "PRETTY CLOSE" Back Run will be ok...

I STILL need the Broadleaf 460 - IF ANYONE HAS ONE THAT THEY WOULD BE WILLING TO PART WITH???

I do NOT think that any other back exists for Mr. Snodgrass...

nah, always cool to see catchers in equipment... I was 1 catcher away from the mini-set before something bigger fell in my lap. I may revisit that one though, it's a cool grouping.
