Default Danny murtaugh for HOF

I’m just curious what everyone thinks about Murtaugh as a hof manager. He won 2 World Series in very different eras, the 71 Pirates are important historically, and he had several other very successful seasons with a strong overall record. Haven’t seen it discussed elsewhere so curious as to opinions.

I'll admit, I didn't know very much about him. Very interesting managerial career. I'm sure if it wasn't for his various health problems and retirements and relatively young death (managerial wise), he would certainly be in the conversation for the HOF, if not already in there.

I think so
A good comparison (numbers wise) is Hall of Famer Whitey Herzog - Who I was glad to see make it .

It could certainly be justified IMO.

I think he's qualified, but then you have to start looking at alot of other options with 2 titles, like Cito Gaston. Not saying he's not qualified either, just creates a slippery slope
