Regarded as the first Little Leaguer to reach the Bigs-- an inspiration for us back in the day. RIP.

Snapshot.

Baseball Monthly.

Signed photo.

While trying to figure out if I have any cool scorecards involving Jay I noticed that although he was primarily known for his time with the Reds, his MLB career started with the Milwaukee Braves, where he got his first career win and first two career hits IN CINCINNATI, and ended with the Atlanta Braves, where he got his last career hit IN CINCINNATI.

Also, hit only hit two home runs in his 13 year career, and they both happened in the same month.
