Default Amazing Hank Aaron Items Just Sold

Hunt is in a middle of an auction at the Louisville Slugger Museum and had some great items tied to the scouting and old post card of Aaron on Indianapolis Clowns (sold for $170k before BP). Amazing one of a kind items.

Amazing to see those photos of a young Henry Aaron. I have never seen anything like them before. Earliest I think I have seen is his 1954 Topps card.

Was bidding on those, but got blown out of the water on them.

Amazing pictures! Can't believe the price the postcard went for.

Postcard sold for around $10K back around 2010, wish I was able to buy it back then. Similar increase in value to many of the items that I was pursuing at that time compared to today’s market. Safe to assume that the majority of super high-end stuff out there today is owned by those who bought the items 10-20 years ago and had the foresight to hang on to them all these years. Just picking up one of these types of pieces today will set you back year(s) of saving up without buying anything else. I know that I don’t have that kind of restraint.

Was watching that live. Unreal action. I think the estimate on the Clowns card was 10k. Great to see Aaron stuff soaring.

It was the same image but different postcard that had writing on it so lesser quality. That one sold in 2008 so no idea why the estimate would have been so low on this one? An amazing piece of history.
