Default 1970s commemorative bats question

I just stumbled across these 2 commemorative bats. Does anyone have any more info about these? Were these a common thing to do in the 70s, and then gift them to people? (both are inscribed on the barrel with names that aren't players - one's a sports writer, the other a Japanese media exec I think).

One bat is for the 1972 All Star Game, the other a 1971 World Series night game. I only tracked down a few on ebay for super high prices, but none that had actually sold. Do people collect these? Are there other games with similar bats??

Are they LS? H&B? Adirondack?

Willie Mays Adirondack 600 HR and 3000 hits are not super hard to find. They go for a few hundred; nothing crazy.

Oh neat, so there's at least 2 more of these types?
Both bats are Big Stick Adirondack

They are Presentation bats. Rawlings/Adirondack offered them from around 1969-ish to about 1980 or so from what I know. They were often given to players on championship teams, All-Star teams, executives, etc. I have a Hal Mcrae one from the Royals.

They aren’t terribly valuable. I have one from one of the owners of the 1971 Pirates. It’s in mint condition and I paid about $200 for it.If I recall Clemente’s went for about $1200 in a Hunt auction.
