I just bought an item on eBay and would like to show it here and ask the forum about it, but when I right-click "save image as," which is how I normally download pictures, instead of a JPeg file type, it assigns my download two choices: WebP or All Files, neither of which appear as a picture of my item in the pictures file and is useless to upload to a Forum post. Is this some kind of eBay copyguard so you can't grab their photos, or something else? Thanks.

Can you take a screenshot?
There are usually a couple of ways to accomplish this, but on my computer I use: Windows logo key+Shift+S More instructions if you have Windows 11 as an operating system: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/wind...hot-windows-11 The "prt sc" (print screen) may also help you do what you want to do: Press Windows key + Prt Sc to capture the whole screen. You'll find the screenshot in the Pictures > Screenshots folder. If you're using Windows 11, press Prt Sc by itself to open the Snipping Tool, where you can quickly capture the whole screen, one window, or any portion. To screenshot the active window, press Alt + Prt Sc at the same time, then press Ctrl + V to paste it into a file or email. |

I encounter that frequently. What I do is save it to my computer as the web file, etc. After that, I open it with my photos program on my computer and then it will allow me to save it as a jpeg, etc. This is a little bit of a hassle but works for me.
Also, you can always hit the print screen and capture the portions you want. After you get it captured on your computer, you can then open it and save as photo (jpeg) etc. Hope this helps. |

If you're using Firefox, the "Don't Accept image/webp" add-on is nice and you can toggle it on/off in the add-ons manager if you don't want it on all the time.

Actually, for Ebay I think you can just "view" the picture and when the .webp image comes up you can change that part to .jpg and it loads the jpg version.

If you are using a Mac, Shift-Command-4 and highlight the area you want a snapshot of. Either should get you going in the right direction.

Like Butchie said, the snipping tool is the easiest way to get a cropped jpeg image of anything on your screen. If you're using windows anyway, I don't know anything about Macs. ![]() Andrew .

You can just select Copy Image and paste it into your graphics editor on Windows machines.

Agree. Also you can size the size of the image by zooming the screen prior to snipping.
