Default T206 Super 6 - Let's see what you have

Several years ago I came across some threads on Net54 where Ted Z talked about a group of 6 Sovereign 460's that were much tougher than other Sovereign 460s to find. I was very intrigued, and naturally I searched through my cards to see if I had any. I was quite surprised to find out that I actually had one, the PSA 4 Evers. This motivated me to see if I could collect the remaining 5 that I was missing. I have started and stopped quite a few times because I was not sure if I'd be able to find and/or buy the Cobb or Chance due to their extremely low pop numbers. Well, I was fortunate enough to be able to get those 2 over the past year. Last night in Heritage I purchased the last card that I needed, the Mathewson Dark Cap. I am grateful for all of the knowledge that Ted Z shared with this community. One small example is that I would not have even known about these 6 cards if it wasn't for his posts on this topic. I have copied 2 of those threads below for anyone who wishes to learn more about them. Below are pictures of my 6 cards.

Please post pics of any Super 6's that you own!

Frank, congratulations on completing this subset. As a new collector of T206 I find myself reading Ted Z threads and post every few days, he was such an incredible wealth of knowledge. Also, hats off to you for completing this subset with such beautiful cards.

Do you have your next T206 challenge lined up yet?

My main project now is that I'm working on a T206 HOF Old Mill back run. I only need 5 more to complete that project. I have a feeling it will take me while to find the rest of them though. It's a fun journey and I'm enjoying every bit of it!

Great group Frank. I, too, often find myself rereading old threads and posts made by Ted Z…he was an encyclopedia of card knowledge. I have all of the Sovereign 460s as well, although a couple are sort of rough. I’m missing one scan, but I will try to post them tonight. In the mean time, here are some Matty darks…the coupons don’t really count as t206, but I like to collect them anyway.

Hi Frank, That's an incredible task. Congrats on being so close. I believe the chase of the cards is the best part. I'm working on all the Old Mill's. I have 245 out of 358 cards. My HOF group is very weak compared to yours. I'm at 16 out of the 64 total cards.

I agree that the chase is the best part. How many of us have gotten a card and almost immediately had less desire for it? It's like, ok got it, throw it in that pile.

Nice cards shown, thanks for sharing..
