I was doing a basement cleanout over the weekend and came across a box of old auction catalogues. This was an exact conversation with my wife:
W - "Wow, these are neat. Almost like looking back at history" Me - "Definitely (looking at pictures)" W - "When did they stop mailing catalogues? 5, 10 year ago?" Me - "Ummmm, they still do" W - "What?!?" She couldn't believe they still mail out catalogues and thought for sure they went the way of the Sears Roebuck catalogues. This got me thinking, will they ever stop in this age of online shopping? Or will one stop and the others will follow suit? Food for thought. |

Plain and simple. Catalogs are to get consignments. I look at a few but most go straight to recycle. I predict they will continue until they don't bring in more consignments. (which means they will always be in your mail)

I'm curious which catalogs.
![]() I love reading pre-Internet or early-Internet auction catalogs (meaning the data is not available online). They are great references and fun to look through... |
