Yes Brian the Standard Biscuit backs are vertical. Not surprising, since the advertiser used virtually the exact same text and layout throughout its three sets of 1916, 1917 and 1921.
I still believe they are somewhat similar though, in that they are also a four-sided border that uses a pattern to enclose the message. Also, the 1921 Standard Biscuit alternates the size of its hash marks or tics from thin to thick, unlike its 1916 and 1917 versions, to give a little more flair to its previous look. A modest attempt at artistry, to be sure, but a little like the alternating black-white/braided look of the Holsum cards, IMO.
