I thought so as well, but I am far more into cards than postcards.

The print quality all around seems very bad, especially the back looks horrendous. I agree it doesn't look good..

Completely agreed on the back. I would say everyone thought this was a fake because at a minute left the high bid was $52.00.

I would prefer a Walter Johnson card to a Walter Johnston card.

I’m not familiar with post cards like this though. Is there one that has Johnston? Or is this just pure tomfoolery from the guy who made this fake?

That is the one known flaw in the issuance of the Novelty postcard of Johnson. |

Ed, what makes you so sure this PC805 Novelty Cutlery PC on eBay is fake? Brian, I see that several bidders with fairly high eBay feedback bid on this PC, which leads me to think that these bidders felt it is real. BTW, WaJo's last name is misspelled on this PC. My example is raw. I've owned it for roughly 25 years, and I believe/hope it is real.

The card that the OP is referring appears to be fake, but the original has his name spelled incorrectly also.

Val-colors and print dots on front and the fade of the back. Also the smooth surfaces look suspect from scan. Yours looks as it should. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
