Default Rocky Marciano autograph?

Hi guys. Any thoughts on this one? Found it at a thrift store/flea market kind of place in Pa. and didn't pay much for it. Figured it was worth a shot.

Nice find, if real. Had never seen his auto before so had to look up at PSA

Forgot he died at a young age.

Looks like it was signed two minutes ago using a cheapo, flat-tipped calligraphy fountain pen.

I have zero actual expertise :-) That said, I'm pretty OCD so maybe that's worth something. The 'M' is definitely quite different from his actual signature. The flow really doesn't seem to be there. Was worth a shot as long as it was cheap!

No opinion on authenticity but in general I've been told that new ink on old paper causes the kind of bleed you see in this signature.

Marciano signatures make me queasy. Plenty of good ones out there, but lots of bad ones to.

Including tons that have been authenticated by the major players and sold through major auction houses through the years.

Beware of typed/signed letters featuring Marciano. I can just picture Rocky flying from event to event in his post boxing years, dragging a typewriter with him, punching the keys in his down time to answer fan and journalist mail. All with great boxing content in them.

Archie Moore maybe (though he loved to actually write his letters out), but not Rocky.

I think one of Marciano's own brothers had a hand in lots of the bad autographs making it to market, once upon a time.

This is no good. As another has said, it looks like it was signed last night. This is classic coaches corner garbage.
