This one is always going to be subjective but here is my best shot.
1. George Sisler 2. Tris Speaker 3. Eddie Collins 4. Willie Keeler 5. Kid Nichols |

Good list, I would add Sam Crawford in there too.

I think Crawford, Joss, and Collins are undervalued for their cards

IMO, after decades of a very efficient market, it doesn't really make sense to say anyone from 100 years ago is undervalued. The market values them as it does.

Mantles cards have been around for over 70 Years and who would have thought they would reach their new highs Sometimes the cards get high in prices so people look elsewhere for deals like other players or from Cards to photo's, to pins etc so factors and drive previously undervalued assets up

How about Harry Heilmann? If he had a t206 or Goudey card I think he'd be more widely collected but he fell right in between. |

Roberto Clemente cards have spiked in recent years as well. His rookie card shot up in price only relatively recently. The same is true for Jackie Robinson, who was pretty cheap really until the pandemic hit.
Whoops, Joe D wouldn't be dead ball. Not sure I can think of a dead ball surge other than for cards that are collectible outside of the skill of the player: Shag T206, Titus T206, etc. Maybe Grover Cleveland Alexander? For a guy who was so dominant most of his cards are pretty cheap with the exception of the CJ and Fatima. Last edited by packs; 06-20-2023 at 10:15 AM. |
