Default FS: Augie Cabrinha, Jim Spencer, Ab Strosnider Signed 1926 Dayton Yearbook Cut - SOLD

SOLD!

Signed cuts, from the 1926 University of Dayton "Daytonian" yearbook, of August Cabrinha (1902–1979), Jim Spencer (1901–1961), and "Ab" Strosnider (1904–1964). All are members of the famed Dayton Triangles professional football team, one of the original franchises of the present-day NFL. Needless to say, these signatures are rare.

Cabrinha and Spencer are signed by the respective players on front and back. Strosnider is single-sided.

Asking $125 shipped (net) for the trio. Payment via PayPal F&F, Venmo, check, or money order. May consider selling individually.

August Cabrinha (April 13, 1902 – March 8, 1979) played college football at Dayton from 1924-1926 and professional football as a guard for the Dayton Triangles in 1927. Cabrinha is the first Hawaiian-born player in the NFL.

Jim Spencer (November 3, 1901 – March 6, 1961) played college football at Dayton ca. 1924-1926 and professional football as a guard for the Dayton Triangles in 1928-1929.

Aubrey "Ab" Strosnider (May 9, 1904 – October 27, 1964) played college football at Dayton from 1923-1927 and professional football as a tackle for the Dayton Triangles in 1928.

Sorry to post on a BST thread without an offer but this is so a cool piece! I'm from the Cin/Dayton area and I've never heard of the Triangles and just looked up some info on them.

Also, so interesting to look at the 3 players background... one from Dayton, but two from Hawaii before it was even a state. Makes you wonder how 2 young men from paradise, decades before it became a state, wound up playing a fledgling college sport in the frigid midwest. GLWTS!

I had the same thought re: the Hawaiian players. Wish there was more info out there about these guys.
