Default FS: Stub from Mantle's 565-ft hr game - ticket & more

$3,000 net to me.

This is a ticket, 1953 year book, signed autograph book sheet, parking pass, and a voting form for 1953's "My Favorite National" all from Mickey Mantle's 565-foot home run at Washington's Griffith Stadium on April 17,1953 when only 4,206 people were in attendance.

The sheet was signed by three Senators:
Mel Holderlein (Washington 1952-54)
Spec Shea (Washington 1952-55)
Sonny Dixon (Washington 1953-54)

The April 17, 1953 game was the Senators second game played of the season - but the tickets were numbered for game 3 because the April 13, 1953 Opening Day (game 1) was rained out and those game 1 tickets were used for the make up later in the season, which made tickets for game 3 the tickets for the actual second game played on April 17.

The yearbook is clearly dated 1953 on the front, the group of three players were only on the team together in 1953-54, and the My Favorite National voting form has on the back as Election Rule 1 "Voting closes midnight, June 6, 1953."

I got this lot several years ago - it came with two ticket stubs and everything else you see here. I don't collect tickets so I sent one stub to PSA to see how the process worked and they slabbed it as having been from Mantle's 565-foot home run game (I no longer have that ticket). A while ago I sent this second ticket to PSA and they didn't slab it - so I am not sure what will happen if you try to send this one in again.

Given that these came together, the voting form is from early 1953, the yearbook is 1953, and the autographs have to be from either 1953-54, I don't have any concerns that this ticket is from 1953 and Mantle's famous game. I am just trying to be upfront with a potential buyer with how this has played out with PSA.

The first two images are cellphone pics of everything included. The second two images are scans that do not show the yearbook.

Did PSA give any explanation as to why the 2nd stub was not slabbed?

Sorry for the slow response, just seeing it now.

I think they said something about not being sure how to identify the year. Which is odd given that they did so for the other one. I was told (not by PSA) that the 1952 tickets say Grandstand, the 1953 tickets say Gen'l Admission Grand Stand, and the 1954 tickets to not say Arcus-Simplex Ticket Co., Inc, N.Y. as this one does.
