Play Ball Notebooks Cobb, Matty, Alexander, Schalk Felsch, Peckinpaugh Rariden
Offered here are 2 Near Mint "Play Ball" Notebook Circa 1918. This 1st one Features Yankee Star Shortstop Roger Peckinpaugh stretching for a ball. New York clearly across his pin stripped jersey. Christy Mathewson, Grover Cleveland Alexander and Hank Gowdy are pictured below the large picture of Peckinpaugh. The 2nd features Bill Rarden and has Cobb, Schalk and Felsch (Black Sox) pictured below. Both examples are in pristine, near mint condition with sharp corners, clean crisp registration with all the pages unused inside. The notebook even has the solid first page that fits under the lined pages for better writing. Two true pristine beauties with a clean untouched backs. Alexander is pictured on Chicago dating this around 1918-1920. Peckinpaugh was on the Yankees between 1913-1921 batting .305 in 1919 his best year which suggests a 1918-1920 make and when others have suggested these "Play Ball" Notebooks were issued
