Default FS: 1936 Harvard Freshmen Team Photo & Signed Ball

Hello everyone! Just recently moved to a new house and in the process of unpacking/setting up my new den/office, I decided to let go of a few items. First up is a very nice lot of two (2) items that belonged to former Harvard University pitcher, Harold "Slim" Curtiss, who graduated in the Class of 1939.

-Framed team photo of the Harvard Freshmen team (dated to 1936). Photo is roughly 11 in. x 14 in. and professionally framed by the Boston-based Jordan Marsh Company (I believe this may be period given the age of the Jordan Marsh logo and that it has Curtiss' name on the label).

-Harvard team signed Ford C. Frick baseball. Curtiss' signature is located just under the Spalding logo stamp. Cannot confirm from which year this ball was signed (it appears he played all four years, so anywhere between 1936-1939, which holds up well with the dating of the Frick ball).

Here are a couple of links that provide a snapshot into Curtiss' playing time while at Harvard:

Asking $275 OBO.

Please feel free to let me know if you would like any additional photos or have any questions. Thank you and please take care!

Harvard picture is amazing. If I had any connection to that fine institution I'd grab that in a second.

I went through a Harvard sports reference book which I have, that has team pictures of all Harvard sports teams. The names on your ball (which I could make out) all seem to overlap only in 1939, so should be safe to say this is a 1939 ball.

Here's a team pic of the 1939 varsity team - cool stuff! I'm a collector of Harvard sports items - these aren't right up my alley but they're great to see!

Thanks, Steve!

And thank you for doing some digging, Scott! Based on your findings, I would have to concur that this is likely to be a '39 team ball. Appreciate the help!
