Looking for info on a player from the 30’s or 40’s
Hello,
I recently met the grandson of Robert B. “Jay” Crisler. He was born in 1915 and died in 1975. His obituary states that he played for the Cardinals. His grandson was wondering if there were any cards issued of his grandfather. I tried searching every way I could think of, but couldn’t find any. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Crisler played in the minor league system of the Cardinals, never above Class C, which would likely be about like Low A ball now. It is not likely he had any cards.

In this situation your best bet may be a team photo assuming one exists.

I also highly doubt it.
Photos on the other hand... I'm sure there are definitely some out there picturing him with the team.
