Herbie Moran is listed as unconfirmed with a SC350/25 back but I found
three sales (actually four but one didn't have a back scan) and all three have well centered slightly to the right fronts but all three backs are off center to the lower left. Moran SC350 Factory 25 PSA 4.jpgMoran SC350 Factory 25 PSA 4 Back.jpg Moran SC350 Factory 25 PSA A.jpgMoran SC350 Factory 25 PSA A Back.jpg Moran SC350 Factory 25 SGC 30.jpgMoran SC350 Factory 25 SGC 30 Back.jpg Fred Mitchell like Moran is print group 2 and is also listed as unconfirmed with a SC350/25 back. I found two sales and both have similar front/back centering as Moran. Mitchell, Fred SC350 Factory 25 PSA 2.5.jpgMitchell, Fred SC350 Factory 25 PSA 2.5 (2).jpg Mitchell, Fred SC350 Factory 25 PSA 5.jpgMitchell, Fred SC350 Factory 25 PSA 5 Back.jpg It could be just a coincidence or it could be that there were very few SC350/25 sheets printed that Moran, Mitchell and some other subjects were on. If anyone has any SC350/25's that match these please post them here if you are willing to share. Last edited by Pat R; 07-26-2017 at 06:53 PM. |

I think your PSA altered and your SGC 2 on the Moran are the same card. But still the point is the same.

I've slowly been working on a Sweet Caporal 350/25 subset. I agree that a group of them are in shorter print than others. But I can also say that nearly all can be found with some time searching. As more are graded by PSA with the factory numbers, maybe a pattern will be seen.

I came across this thread from 2017 while doing some research and I had forgotten about it when I posted this thread late last year.
https://www.net54baseball.com/showthread.php?t=312017 Stuff like this is what drives me and I'm sure others to do this kind of research, it's very rewarding when you find something that backs up an original thought. [IMG] ![]() Last edited by Pat R; 05-01-2022 at 06:28 AM. |

Good morning! Wow Pat! You really pay attention to details. I completely agree with you, these kind of color off registration specimens can tell a great details of how t206s layout in the past. t206musem site has show case a few of these a while back.

Pat - is there another Toronto player who is a possible match? I ask because I don't think this one is Mitchell. The part of the ghosted image in Moran's border completes the O (it is the middle part of the O) on Mitchell's jersey, but to be from Mitchell shouldn't the ghosted image should be the left side of the O because that is what is on Mitchell's jersey?

Sorry about that, yep, meant Mitchell. Just fixed it.
And - please ignore my last post. I was looking quickly and missed that you had the Moran card over the top of and partially obscuring Mitchell. So, I agree with your find - thanks for sharing it.
