Hello all
I’m wondering if any vintage magazine or yearbook collectors might have a suggestion for me. I recently picked up a Beautiful 1947 time magazine with Jackie Robinson on the cover. I plan to use this as a backdrop to my two favorite Jackie Robinson cards. But I also enjoy pulling the magazines down from time to time to either read the articles or have a laugh at some of the vintage advertising. I’m worried that I may smudge the cover of the magazine when I take it down to read it. I’d like to maintain the pristine cover, ideally. Other than buying gloves to wear while handling the magazine, has anyone seen any kind of protective cover that only fits the front of the magazine but still allows you to open and review the inside of the magazine itself? I hope my question makes sense, thanks for any suggestions. Jeff |

You could also display a full-size color copy of the cover.

I would not try to protect the cover only. The extra weight and "pull" of the protective sleeve might cause the front cover to detach more easily.
I would just order one of these, and slide out the entire Magazine on the rare occasion you flip the pages/read it... https://www.ebay.com/itm/36355490491...8AAOSw4DJYgSyc https://www.ebay.com/itm/20376740323...kAAOSw8eZhyjBA These Magazine Toploaders are rigid enough that you can easily display the Magazine on an easel or tripod as a backdrop for your cards. |

Take pictures of the pages for viewing without touching.

Digitizing it into pdf allows you to read it and search the content without worrying about causing damage.
