Default Gerhig, Grove 1-of-1 G.T. Sun Bromide (sold)

$2400 (SOLD) net to me.

This is a Japanese bromide that is related to the Yuasa set. I thought it was Yuasa until some differences were pointed out in the following thread.

https://www.net54baseball.com/showth...ighlight=yuasa

It turns out that it is actually a 1-of-1 card (as far as the people I talked to know) from the G.T. Sun Co 1931 World Tour set. I am not sure whether a TPG would grade it as GT Sun - they might call it Yuasa.

It measures 5.5" x 3.25" and has a nice shot of Gehrig right up front.

Has to be the monster known as Hank Greenberg next to Gehrig.

Weird for Kelly to be going out in 1931 at the end of his career plus why would you have Gehrig AND Kelly? Also no mention in his SABR biography of touring Japan either, but certainly still possible, and Greenberg was too young having only had a brief cup of coffee prior to this photo so talking myself into Kelly, even though it seems odd.
