How about a scan or pic of the card for starters?

Agreed. Pics help. It can be found on EBAY, though. Looks like 15k obo.

I don't think we are kidding. If you have marketed these as long as you have you might want to consider lowering the OBO price. Just a suggestion....I like them myself just too expensive for me.

Everything you post is multiples of what it would actually go for. Your prices are a joke

Mentioned this before but perhaps to get your price you should send to an auction house where more collectors or investors will see it and the bidding market can determine the market price.
If you have concern about the going price you can always pick a Auction House that you can put a reserve on it.(like HA and SCP) and I am sure there are others.
Also others are correct that without pictures people can not make any determination.

well gentlemen - i dont see anyone on this site making offers so i dont know how you guys know what im looking for. i did get some good offers on ebay, but as they say (close but no cigars). i know one thing - id rather have these cards than pay $100,000. plus for mike trout rookies, but i dont see u guys saying anything about that price. if i get what i want - fine, if not they go into the big auction.

I think it’s the perceived tone that rubbed some others the wrong way. Like they/we are too dumb for not buying these cards. Just my two cents. Cool cards. Too rare for me. Safety in past sales - that sort of thing. Good luck with the sales.

It is listed on Ebay under the same ID as here. $15K is the asking price. It certainly is a rare item as very few have surfaced but no way to establish a value until at least one sells.

Send to an AH and the market will tell you what it's worth.

Letting it sit here for months (years?) on end isn't doing you any good. In the real estate business, the worst thing you can do is overprice your house and let it sit. Even if the price comes down people suspect there is something wrong with it that they are not seeing otherwise it wouldn't have sat for so long.

At this point any interested buyer who does a google search is going to end up here, and I don't see where that's helping your cause.

to be honest i'm not sure why the photos disappeared after bumping them. both robinson card photos are on ebay. the price for well made pants is $10,000. and for champ hats is $15,000. plain and simple.

And that is about the price you have been asking forever, which is absolutely fine. But don't call us inferior because we (the collective hobby) don't want to buy them at that price...My guess is they are worth about half that. But who knows, I hope you get your price.

I doubt anyone here on Net54 was ever looking at and paying anything like that for Mike Trout rookie cards, so you're probably making a horrible asumption. Plus, I seem to remember there was a thread or two when the newer cards came out and started topping the Wagner card as the most valuable, and pretty much everyone on here was incredulous at the prices being paid for the newer modern cards. Where were you that you missed that?

High value card, no photo or asking price, then you get your panties in a bunch because there are no offers?

Yeah if you're going to spam the same cards for a year with a new post every time you can't berate people for not being interested. Nothing wrong with putting a crazy price on a rare item but ebay is the place for that because people have to search for the item to see it. Here everyone has to see the listing every time. I'd estimate I've seen like 40 different listings for the same Jackie card of yours. Awesome card of course, I'm sure it would move at the right price.

Pictures of an ebay auction taken of the computer also do not inspire confidence. For an asking price in 5 figures, I would want a clear picture/scan of the card...not a picture of a picture of a picture.

It also calls into question whether you actually have the card in hand or own that card. Not saying it is not yours, but this is typical of people who try to scam...they take a picture of an ebay auction and list it for sale on other sites.

Once again, can you please get a better picture here (I looked at the ebay pictures as well and they are not great).

Thanks.

Guys....the brothers have been on the forum a long time. The cards are owned by Paul. Quit the nonsense about ownership.

No doubt in this case the scarcity of the item hurts it more than helps it. Do not blame them for what they are asking but they tried to sell the Well Made Pants not long ago in an REA auction and apparently bought it back when it did not do as well as they wanted.

So much bizarreness surrounding these 2 very scarce pieces. First no pics. No price. Then lousy pictures. Then harangue people for not making offers. Then pics posted on another eBay account. Now a report it was consigned but pulled back.

Almost a case study in how not to sell a scarce item.

no-its not complicated at all. the cards are mine and my brother put up the photos since i do not see very well. i also had some offers on ebay. price of well made pants is $10,000. and champ hats is $15,000. both shipped within 5 days postpaid. for a one of a kind robinson rookie those prices are a steal - good luck in finding others.

Hi Paul,
If they were a steal they would have been bought years ago when you first started marketing them. A steal on this forum goes in minutes if not seconds.

For reference, here is a unique Musial rookie from the same set. I bought it on the BST, 8/8/2020 for $475. And that is why I would never pay 5 figures for your card. It's too rare for its own good. It isn't worth that much, at least to everyone who has seen it and has the means to buy it. That all said I like your premium and good luck with it!

As a dealer friend of mine famously said to me decades ago when discussing an oddball piece, Pete, sometimes the only thing rarer than the supply is the demand.
