1981 Topps Football box unopened, opinions?
What i should i do with the box that i have had since the early 80's ? Send it to be wrapped and authenticated, or sell per pack, sell the whole box, or open that bad boy and look for some psa 10's? All opinions are welcomed...

For your bottom line, the best choice is get it authenticated and sell the whole box unopened.
The current cost of grading, difficulty of getting 10s, and premium placed on unopened material means that you'll likely do much worse ($ wise) if you open it. But if you place a lot of value on the fun and rare experience of busting it, naturally that changes things

I would consider each pack graded separately. You still have option to sell full box, or you may get a few gems to sell.

I have opened some very early boxes. DON"T do it. Even fresh cards out of the pack come back 7s or 8s. Have the box wrapped and sell it that way. you will be better off. PS, I just has an 81 box wrapped.

Looks like unopened boxes are anywhere from $4000 to $6000 on the feepay...
Would take probably a dozen high grade Montana Cards to get to the "break even" on opening packs.
