hi all~
I've had this for about 20 yrs or so.....it is an off-set lithograph print on a heavier than 60# paper stock, although I would hesitate to call it card stock. Only mark on it is along the bottom....a letter "E" in a circle and the number 355. It measures 12" x 16 1/2".....has anyone seen this before?? Do you think it is an advertisement for a bakery/bread? Any guess as to why this young lady and her bat were used?? Open to any ideas, etc! Thanks... john |

Is that a watermark on the image (I assume it is), or is it a painted reflection on the actual piece, as if the 'photo' was shot through a window or something? If it's the latter, a reversed image may help tell the tale...but it's probably a watermark. Alas.

I think that is a reflection of the photographer on the frame glass.

It would be interesting to know if that happened to be an ad for Holsum, Mothers', Weil, etc.
I can't make out the letters that are shown over the crook of her arm.

The image op posted is cropped from this ebay listing:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/114693582642 While I am not going to discount it being related to bread, it is also possible that *if* it is indeed an advertisement piece, that it may be relating to the spread that is on the slice. |
