Looking for some advice. Thinking about selling some of the cards in the photos and wondering what would be the best option as far as grading to maximize the value? PSA, Beckett etc? James Spence is going to be doing and on-sight grading near me on Saturday and wondering if he's service would be a good option. A few of the cards are rough but also some really nice cards in the group. Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated!

Let others chime in but I think you've got a mix of good and bad signatures here. I think the Drysdales are good; the 60 Koufax looks good; Seaver looks good; I think all the Aarons look weird and am thrown off by the Maris cards too.

I agree they are a mix. 56 Koufax and 62 , 70Banks, Hodges not good
To answer your question- if you send them in to PSA expect at least an 8 month wait unless things change. JSA is quick but you will get a sticker on back of the card for the lower priced items and a letter on higher priced ones. Much better service and turn around times. Not sure on Beckett. Unless he gives you a package deal. I would not show him the faded cards. I would not show the last banks card on the right. The Hodges looks terrible. i also would not have the two Realy dark aarons.
This should take him all of five minutes. ![]() |

The Clemente looks off as the Hodges does which has already been stated. Could be a very rushed example but I doubt it will pass. I would use JSA on a local visit if you are in the least bit of a hurry.
They will tell you on site whether or not they pass but you have to wait for about a month or so to get the LOAs back on the better ones. As stated earlier, they put a sticker on the card on any cheaper authentications that matches the COA card. I agree some of these will not pass and the fees are pretty high for pictured LOAs but JSA is solid in my opinion. |

I going to throw in an opinion on the Hodges. It very well could be a very rushed example. I see some similarities to lesser rushed examples (he was pretty neat even then). With that said, I doubt any of the companies will authenticated it.
