opinion on Mordecai Brown

Just purchased this Mordecai Brown as it looked very good to me. it comes with a letter from Kevin Keating (whom I trust very much) but I havent seen one of his letters before. Does this letter look like ones Kevin mailed?

Also I noticed that Kevins signature on this Brown COA is IDENTCIAL to one on a COA for a Billy Hamilton that sold in REA. I am assuming Kevin Keating didnt use an autopen

I don’t believe this is genuine. Either the signature or the letter. Just my opinion

As long as it's not a photocopy, I think the Brown sig looks like a perfect example.

I think the sig looks correct as well.
Compare it to a Brown signed check exemplar and I think you will be pleased.

Why don't you reach out to Kevin yourself, if you still have any doubts.
He can still be reached by e-mail I believe.
Hank Thomas on net54 is close friends with Kevin.

Thanks for the feedback. My biggest concern is that the coa has a printed signature identical to the Hamilton coa from 3 years earlier. I sent an email to Kevin and am waiting to hear back but I've been told he did use a laser signature on somenof his coas.
I'll see if I can reach Hank Thomas as well. Thanks again for the input

You were quick on this one, I saw that auction go up and end in less than an hour. From the other one for sale on EBAY at the Ungodly amount of almost $6k, they look identical.

Did you hear back from Keating?

I have not heard back from Keating. Once I received it in person though my worries vanished. I have an email out to PSA in hopes that maybe Keating will respond through there. I have been told that Keating did provide coas like the one I received and only out a picture of the signature on the COA if asked.
Yeah that other poorly cut Brown on Ebay was originally listed for $500 and I missed it by minutes. Now its quite the mark up!

Yeah they are totally different. The only comparison is that both were initially put on ebay at very good deals. I'm very happy with mine. It was more expensive then the other initially was but it is far superior.
