Hi everyone. I don't often post much here but I thought you guys might enjoy seeing this item that I found yesterday. It’s an embossed side panel to a shipping carton used to ship Cracker Jacks. I have dated it to between 1912 and 1922 based upon the writing content, so right in the timeframe for the 1914-15 CJ issues. The piece measures about 16x20.
The person I got it from said that it was at the bottom of an old box so my guess is that someone 100 years ago tore the panel off to use it as packing material. I cannot imagine that many 100 year old shipping cartons of Cracker Jack still exist. I put it in a frame to see how it displays, and thought you guys that collect Cracker Jack cards might enjoy seeing it. https://ibb.co/nwRm0y3 https://ibb.co/sv2jmF9 |

I love stuff like this. Displaying it the way you have is top notch.

Very cool, and very fitting that your Cracker Jack prize was found in the bottom of a box.

AJ, you gotta have the CJ box slabbed by PSA as an "unopened" Cracker Jacks box from 1914 or 1915 with a potential Joe Jackson card inside.
Those are some pretty cool CJ collectibles.

Cracker Jack memorabilia is actually quite difficult to find from the card insertion era (1914-15) I snag it when I see it.
