I lived in Kalamazoo, Michigan for 30 years and always wanted to add a Kalamazoo Bats to my collection but could never afford one.
I've always wondered about the name. There's nothing in Kalamazoo's history that would lend itself to being named on baseball cards. Does anyone know any history. I've only heard that they picked the name Kalamazoo because it sounded fun, and bats were just a name for a cigarette Last edited by darkhorse9; 11-07-2020 at 07:39 PM. |

Kalamazoo Bats were actually cigars from Charles Gross & Co. out of Philadelphia. A board member has an amazing collection of rare boxes and packs.
