Default FS - 67T Complete Low # Set Mid-High Grade

SOLD!

Up for sale is a complete 1967 Topps Low # (1-533) set that averages mid-grade but has plenty of upside as well with 20% grading Ex-Mt or better. I am currently building a 2012 Allen & Ginter Master set that simply requires more capital than I first anticipated. As a result, it's in my best interest to at least kick the tires on this set in its current state - my hope is that I can let this go to someone who will give it the attention it deserves as it's built to full completion with the high number cards.

I based the set around my personal preference of VG-EX being the absolute minimum condition a card could be in - maybe an OCD thing on my part, I don't know. I'm particularly picky on corners and centering. Nonetheless, there are no "fillers" to be found. After having to return a few trades in the past year or so, I've come to realize my grading is relatively more stringent than most, maybe presenting a bit of underlying value for prospective buyers in what I've put together...

Cond - Count - %
NmMt (8) - 10 - 2%
NrMt (7) - 26 - 5%
ExMt (6) - 64 - 12%
Ex (5) - 137 - 26%
VgEx (4) - 296 - 55%

Clearly what matters most is the condition of the key cards. I've included several detailed pics but am happy to post/email more upon request.

Without further ado, here's the list in descending order of condition:
_ _ _ _ _

NmMt (8)

70 Santo, 423 Fence Busters (Mays, McCovey) OC

1 Semi-Hi # - 409

NrMt (7)

30 Kaline, 42 Mets TC, 63 Cards Clubbers (Brock, Flood), 210 Gibson, 241 AL RBI Leaders (Robinson, Killebrew), 361 Series 5 CL (Clemente)

9 Semi-Hi # - 373,385,388,426,434,437,439,442,469

ExMt (6)

1 The Champs (F. Robinson, B. Robinson), 103 Series 2 CL (Mantle), 191 Series 3 CL (Mays), 240 NL Bat Leaders (Alou Bros, Carty), 278 Series 4 CL (Kaat), 280 Conigliaro, 315 Billy Williams, 326 Bob Uecker, 333 Jenkins, 445 Sutton, 454 Series 6 CL (Marichal)

14 Semi-Hi # - 381,386,428,440,444,447,450,464,491,511,514,519,52 9,530

Ex (5)

20 Cepeda, 45 Maris, 62 Series 1 CL (Robinson), 200 Mays, 242 NL RBI Leaders (Aaron, Clemente), 243 AL HR Leaders (F. Robinson, Killebrew), 244 NL HR Leaders (Aaron, Mays), 285 Brock, 320 Perry, 337 Morgan, 456 Niekro, 476 Perez, 485 McCarver

VgEx (4)

5 Ford, 55 Drysdale, 100 F. Robinson (wrinkle on top as shown in pic), 140 Stargell, 146 Carlton, 150 Mantle (green on left edge as shown in pic - not sure what to make of it but IMO it does not detract from the overall appearance of the card), 166 Mathews, 216 Bengal Belters (Kaline, Cash), 218 Banks, 234 NL ERA Leaders (Koufax, Marichal), 236 NL Pitch Leaders (Koufax, Marichal, Gibson, Perry), 238 NL K Leaders (Koufax, Bunning), 239 AL Bat Leaders (F. _ _ _ _ _

Now, I'm not dead set on selling - if the price is right, I will. But if there is little to no interest with it being only a low-number set then I will have a go at the higher #'s and see this thing through.

ASKING PRICE of $1125 OBO paid F&F on Paypal (add 3% if paying goods and services)

Let me know if you're interested in purchasing / negotiating via thread response or by PM - I'm fine with either.

I have pics of the backs but can only post 18 in a single thread so I can send those upon request and will also bump this thread with them in a separate post sometime this weekend.

Thanks!

Derek

Derek

Cards arrived today. Thanks so much for taking the time to put them in binder form - the best way to collect midgrade sets IMO.

Happy with the purchase.

Be well,
SGL

Scott - it was my pleasure! It was therapeutic in a way to go through them one last time before sending them off. Please keep me updated with your progress on finishing the set out!
