Default FS: N566 Newsboy Cabinet John Ward, Highest Graded

N566 Newsboy Cabinet of HOFer John Montgomery Ward SGC 5

Stunning 1895 Newsboy of Ward, who owns the unique distinction of being the only HOF inductee with over 150 wins and 2,000 hits. As a pitcher for the Providence team, he won 47 games in 1879 and 40 the following season including the second perfect game in National league history. Due to an over abundance of innings pitched early in his career he converted to shortstop after Providence sold him to the New York club, embarking on his second career as a full-time position player.

This 125 year old card has the following highly coveted attributes:

1) unique scarcity for the grade - SGC 5 is the highest graded copy is existence on SGC and PSA registry

2) stellar visual aesthetic with a stunning image and contrast

3) renowned player subject, the legendary HOFer John Montgomery Ward
