It's been some crazy year, and news has broken about possibly the most unlikely development of all....
SGC's population report is live. What a time to be alive. |

![]() I checked it out the second after I opened my eyes today. To me it just looks like a different layout with the same flawed information. It's nearly impossible to fix it because certain things were not done right from the beginning. It's as if the company was started by people that knew very little about sports cards.

The new registry isn't up. The link still takes you to the old registry.
I did a couple of searches in the pop report, and even though it is laid out differently, it is still a mess. I searched some sets that I am very familiar with. Weil Baking - still has the same mistakes. They list 1916 D329, 1916 D328, and 1917 D328. I'm not sure how they came up with a 1916 D328. A search for T213 only brings up 1 set. 1910. The cards are still listed alphabetically by first name. A search for Coupon brings up the following T213 links: 1914 Coupon - the list of players is random. 1909-1914 Only 1 card is listed. 1910 Coupon - Only 7 cards are listed. 1910 Coupon T213 - Some players are listed alphabetically, but not all of them. 1915-1920 Lists 1 T82, which is a Coupon non-sports card, so that is OK. 1919 Coupon - Kind of a random list. Several cards do specify "Factory 8 Overprint", and I don't remember seeing that many on the old report. So, they have a new layout, but for the sets that I checked, the existing errors have not been corrected. It appears that all they did was to transport the old information, whether it was correct or incorrect, to the new format. I'm not sure why they bothered.
