Default 1955 Topps Roberto Clemente SGC 3 - PRICE CUT - NOW $1150

looking to get $1100 shipped. Trying to move this card to make a bigger purchase! This card is a stunner with very sharp corners. It has a small crease/wrinkle that is can be seen on the back across "fielding" and on the front across "outfield"...see pictures.

I know the price is high, but the eye appeal far surpasses a 3, the small wrinkles hold it back.

I have sold quite a few cards here on net54 and have 97 positive reviews on ebay. Let me know if you have any questions!

That's a sweet 3. SGC grading very strictly these days. I never quite understood why the TPGs grade so harshly on wrinkles that can only be seen in perfect lighting, and seem to grade less harshly on blunted corners

I agree, admittedly mostly because of owning this card. I believe because of the wrinkle the highest it can get is a 3. I hate qualifiers but I wonder if I’d prefer a “wrinkle” qualifier...

thanks man, i agree and think its a super nice looking 3. I get why people are turned off by the wrinkle but flip side of that is you get a card with the eye appeal of a 5/6 for the price of a 3. hoping someone will take it!

I first listed about a about a month ago with my eye on a trout and now those prices have damn near doubled so i dont know if its even worth it. Modern card prices are out of control right now.

I sold it on eBay, if you check the sale my eBay handle and net45 have the same name. The buyer returned it which is why I’m back here trying to make a sale.

He said he thought it looked trimmed. I obviously hate writing that in a thread where im trying to sell it, but that was his reason. This card has been graded by both PSA and SGC, both gave it a numerical grade (have pictures in both cases) but its the small surface wrinkles to prevent it from going higher than a 3. I thought perhaps SGC would put it in a 4, but they did not.
