New member here. I was referred to this site by a member of SportsCollectors.net. I have this 1956 Yankees Ball that I purchased through a Thrift Store after reviewing the signatures. Many are faded. What are your opinions on this ball.
Pic 1 is the Ball ID Markings Pic 2 is Jim Konstanty, Don Larsen, Eddie Robinson, Maurice "Mickey" McDermott, Irv Noren, Ed "Whitey" Ford Pic 3 is Billy Hunter, Jerry Staley, Tom Morgan, Jerry Coleman, Rip Coleman Pic 4 is the lower half of pic 3. These include Tom Carroll, Bob Turley, and Yogi Berra. Pic 5 is Bill Skowron, Hank Bauer, Gil McDougald, Joe Collins, Billy Martin Pic 6 is Skowron, Bauer, McDougald Pic 7 is Robinson, McDermott, Noren, Ford, and Tommy Byrne Pic 8 is Phil Rizzuto and Mickey Mantle Pic 9 is Elston Howard, Tom Sturdivant, Bobby Richardson, Charlie Silvera, and Andy Carey |

Personally, I would lean toward authentic. But that doesn't mean some of those aren't clubhouse. And since the ball was Fido's chew toy, i think it would be hard to decipher between the two. Fido effed up Mickey's signature. Its a great conversation piece though. Hope you got it for $5. That makes the story better.

I paid a tad more than $5, but I am not upset at what I did pay for it as I like the Elston Howard, Rizzuto, Larsen, Ford, and Berra signatures. I'm no expert on Mantle, but I certainly looked at a boat load of time period exemplars to compare to. The one signature on the ball that strikes me as most likely clubhouse is Billy Martin. I have just never seen His signature look so basic with his cursive. I have been asking for opinions on this moreso, because I am considering having TPA look at it. Fido did have his way with this one, but I am still convinced there is something about this one. Thank You for your time looking at it. It is much appreciated.
