Not sure of the ball, but McCarthy is a clubhouse I believe. Did they identify the clubhouse ones? overall, ball has some that look good, some that worry me.

Any idea why Dimaggio signed twice and differently?

If your referring to the autograph in the second pic, that is a stamp as the ball is a Joe DiMaggio League baseball, not sure if your talking about another autograph other then the two you have shown

What did DiMaggio stamp his balls and sold them to stores for a dollar more than cost?

Dont know that I've seen a "hook" Lou for a Gehrig either....Looks a tad odd to me.....

Yeah searching the internet for the autograph it’s definitely unique with that hook. I’m definitely not sweating.

Sign of the times I guess. 1939 he really began to feel a change in his life. I’m no expert at all but “L” in Lou is a bit funny looking compared to a lot of his L’s.

I do know that in 1939 which was the last year Gehrig played that once he began feeling weak with what would shortly be diagnosed as ALS that it is someone common knowledge in the hobby that Gehrig began using a Clubhouse Boy to sign Team Baseballs. I don't have the knowledge to say whether or not the Gehrig is good or not, but am aware that items specifically pertaining to 1939 have this common theme to them.
