Possible Old Judge n172 related item
This last week Heritage had a decent assortment of 19th century items. Normally, I collect n172s, but the piece in question caught my eye.
https://sports.ha.com/itm/baseball-c...=MyBids-101116 Have never seen anything like it and was hoping someone could shed some light on it. Portrays Matthews and Boyd. Oddly, this pose of Matthews is not seen in the n172 set. Boyd is a big rarity and the main reason I picked up this piece. Has anyone ever seen anything like it? When might these have been produced? Why would Heritage claim they were produced circa 1910? What might they have been produced for? Are there others? Did I waste my money on a worthless fantasy piece?
