I think the buying market is starting to show signs of ignoring the grade. In ways I agree with this.
It’s about eye appeal and other factors. Rewind to a time before third party grading. People paid strong for premium eye appeal on raw cards. A 3 can mean so many things. Especially in the thin stock CJ issue. Last edited by Goudey77; 11-05-2019 at 11:33 PM. |

Yikes....doesn't make a lot of sense. Lots of bids on it, it seems. Never remember him being a toughy but maybe he is?
added -In looking at the PSA pop report he is indeed scarce but not super scarce. Market could be picking up on them. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1914-Cracke...UAAOSwnhNduJKA .

Great looking card. Price paid with a possible bump in mind?

This sale didn’t surprise me one bit. Especially if you follow CJs. A PSA 2 sold for over $1100. And Cravath is really tough 14 CJ. 🤨🤨🤨

“Cracka” is actually how it’s spelled since you missed it twice. And I guess I don’t understand your reasoning for even commenting....smh

That's a card I've always wanted, simply for the fact that in his post BB life he later became a judge in Laguna Beach, CA., prior to his passing in '63. And, he was the first major leaguer from SD to make the majors.

At least I have my real name posted unlike most here!
Robert Toe Tom Ass is this guys name? Anonymous is the way of it so people can say anything! Michael J Durrett So when Craka Jack got verified did his name check out? Unlikely |

I don't see him being anonymous at all. It's pretty friggin easy to determine what his name is by what he actually typed in for his name. Seriously.

So why don't you do us a favor and say what his name is instead of acting childish? No one should be using a fake name (I know it happens) and when they get caught they are no longer here. It is that simple. Lastly, if you keep it up you will have to keep it up somewhere else. Your sh@# to equity ratio isn't looking too good at this point.
*Ps..if a name is ever put out here in this kind of circumstance I would ask for it to be internet search masked. Quote:

Peach/Yellowsub bid strong to win the #82 Cravath and has already put it in his collection.
35 graded Cravaths out there (22 PSA and 13 SGC) and only 10 available graded by PSA (ie not already in a registered set). There is a PSA 6 out there that is the only one available and graded above the PSA 3 that was up for bid. There are three PSA 4's but I don't have certs on two of them to know if they are registered or not. Cravath was listed as the 12th scarcest on my '14 Cracker Jack graded population scarcity list back in late August 2019. Last edited by Kidnapped18; 11-14-2019 at 10:29 PM. |
