Default Connection between M114 and R302-1

Perhaps some of you already knew all this, but I was rather floored to learn via email that nearly all those ugly 1943 MP & Company cartoon cards were based on actual photos from the M114 Baseball Magazine poster premiums.

I've included one example here, Carl Hubbell, and nearly all the rest in a new article on the SABR blog.

https://sabrbaseballcards.blog/2019/...ery-79-solved/

Take a look if you enjoy seeing a lot of photo-card pairings. The idea that some of the ugliest cards out there "use" Conlon images is just incredible to me.
