Default Al Lopez, Mel Ott, Ty Cobb Original George Burke Negatives

Bought these few years ago, unfortunately have to sell.

Can include hi-res scans as well (not restored however) - from a desktop photo / negative scanner as I own half a million slides/negatives.

1939 Mel Ott Original Negative by George Burke. A role model and symbol of clean-living, Mel Ott led his team in home runs for eighteen consecutive years. Go ahead, break that record. He is seen here in a familiar batting posture with the 1939 World's Fair patch clearly visible. One of the most famous sports photographers of all time, George Burke understood the media and public demand for photos of athletes. He began shooting baseball players in the 1920's, and would go on to leave a legacy of classic images, both portraits and action shots, usually of individual players instead of groups. Many Burke photos ended up as the central image on cards produced during the same time. Just under 5x7" in size and on AGFA Safety Film. NRMT condition and still suitable for making quality prints.

$200

The Georgia Peach is seen on the dugout steps, late in his career, sorting through a slew of bats laid out before him; a felt, gothic "D" resplendent on his left chest. Just under 5x7" in size and on Eastman Kodak Safety Film. NRMT condition and still suitable for making quality prints.

1930's Al Lopez Original Negative by George Burke. A skilled leader and strategist, the Hall of Fame catcher is seen posing with bat in his Brooklyn flannel.
