One of the good things about the forum is that other members, and friends, get to know what you collect. Most know I collect old hobby related stuff about the hobby. Very little of it is conserved, restored, trimmed, bleached or slabbed.
![]() We should all be glad we don't take stagecoaches to shows or send postcards to other collectors for what we are looking for (though I guess AH's still do it, but that is usually for consignments.)

Good 'Stuff', Boss!
I feel the same way about alerting others and thus helping with their collections. We, who appreciate such things, thank you for building our hobby ship. =

That's an awesome item.
I love seeing how people in the past collected.

That is an amazingly cool postcard. Imagine the kinds of collections that were sent to Charles Bray back then. People probably sent him groups of T206 with the occasional Plank and Wagner it.

LOL, when I saw the post card address I thought of Funkhouser on Curb Your Enthusiasm.

I came to this thread interested in learning about an interesting piece of hobby history, I leave it knowing that Super Dave is dead.
Not whatI was expecting and now I’m bummed out!

I did know that. He died at a relatively young age—a real pity.

I remember receiving little boxes full of cards for my inspection along with a price list. Buy the ones you like and return the others. Trust. Letting out a big sigh while humming "The Way We Were."
