Hate to expose this auction, but this PSA 2 has a very hard to see tear in it. I didn’t want someone blind to buy it and then get it home and feel it hanging in two pieces...

Looks like it is about time for me to send PSA my 'Narrow Waisted in 2 pieces' Ruth and expect to garner a 1 or 1.5 grade.

It's a funky paper to work with. I sort of think of strips as baseball cards printed on pie crust. It is possible that the slabbing process is what "broke" the card in two.

If that's the case, I'd be a seriously pissed off card owner, especially on a Cobb card. I have a number of strip cards, and the paper is thicker than say, a Ramly or a Cracker Jack, so I'm not sure the slabbing process would tear a strip card. That said, if the card had a tear like that, to the point where an upper corner was barely still attached, it kind of makes you really wonder about the value of third party grading.
