Default Badly trimmed cobb on eBay

I missed it but would like to buy it from the new owner if they are on the board. I am a green Cobb away from completing my 520 beater set. Very disappointed I missed it. Hopefully it went to someone who needs it.

How do you know it's not that rare 1/1 "blue" version?

A question for the forum

If all the green is removed from a green Cobb, is it still a green Cobb?

Another question for the forum

If all the red is removed from a red Cobb, is it still a red Cobb?

I think the “greenless” variation is even rarer.

Does this mean Jon, thanks to Jeff, now has his 520 T206 set? If so, congrats!

The Monster Number Oversight Committee (MNOC) met yesterday to review your claim of 520. Due to the fact that your green Cobb does not have any green background, and due to the precedent set by Bocabirdman’s Waddell, your new Monster Number will be recorded as 519.8.

If you decide to display your Cobb with a guacamole background, please submit evidence with your appeal to the MNOC.

Either way rest assured that a Monster Number of 519.8 is an admirable achievement.

Thanks guys and thanks again, Jeff. If we're going by completeness of individual cards, I'm probably in the 300's! I'll put together some photos soon For all those interested and those who were involved in helping to piece this set together over the last 6 years. Happy to be in the 520 club without making concessions on quality - only the worst of the worst here!
