In 1954, Joe Bauman hit 72 home runs for the Roswell Rockets, a bush league team in New Mexico. For years, this stood as the professional baseball home run record (not the major league record, obviously). Sometime after 1954, this factoid appeared on the back of a card. It may have been a Topps, but it also may have been a Bowman, or another card. I'm looking for the card on which this fact appears on the back. Can anyone help me?
Thanks! |
