The Baseball Connections
George H. W. Bush was an early fan of APBA baseball and played the game with his sons.
Eisenhower's son David (actually Dwight II) was also an APBA aficionado. George H. W. and George W. both played baseball for the Bulldogs as well.

A great man, indeed.
Although I have never voted for a Republican in my life (now 69 years old), I have nothing but admiration and respect for President Bush. My sincere hope is that the current news stories recounting his life will cause all voters to appreciate that good character, more so than policies, is critical to effective leadership and a successful presidency.
