My eyes aren't the best but they at least can tell me this isn't 50/50 centering as ebay title claims https://www.ebay.com/itm/1933-GOUDEY...kAAOSwew5bAIf- |

I'd say 75-25 side to side. Then again he might mention that the card is pretty much torn down the middle, so the centering is not the first thing that catches my eye.

Is centering really based upon the borders? If the same size card had borders that were mere slivers, the slight move to the right would make it 95/5 but if the borders of this card were thicker, it might be 55/45 and if there were no borders and the background was the same on both sides, it would never be offcenter

As a centering freak my biggest peeve is ALL of the sellers who jump on the centering bandwagon with their cards for sale, and they aren't even close. I don't search on "centered" or anything like that, any longer, because it's futile. This (OPs example) isn't even close... https://www.ebay.com/itm/1933-GOUDEY...If-&rmvSB=true .

Maybe the rip in the card is what he is referring to as "centered"...

Oh, all of you guys are just being silly. Clearly, the seller means the card itself is perfectly centered within the slab. That's all.
