Walter Johnson photo ID
Can anyone identify the year of this magazine photo (the year it appeared in the magazine)?

I honed in on the socks that Walter is wearing in the picture. On eBay there is a picture of Walter with the same socks labelled as 1924. I subsequently went to this site:
http://www.sportsecyclopedia.com/al/...atsimages.html which shows a picture of Walter with the same socks and with the label - Walter Johnson 1924 League Award 23-7 2.72 ERA Definitely not conclusive but perhaps a start. Regards, Tom

That's not, however, the 1924 uniform, so more work is needed. That uniform was worn by him in 1917-23 and 1925. Now match the socks and you're home! I'll guess 1925. Is that a premium?
