Awesome pics. I am life-long racing fan (my parents started taking me to local races when I was just a few months old). I remember seeing Evernham race his Modified as a kid at Wall (N.J.) Stadium in the 1980s and driving for Tom Park at Flemington (N.J.) in the early '90s, long before anyone had any thoughts of him making the big time.

I think I only got to around 138 mph. I have driven faster but that is for another day. They were big block Nascar type cars and it was a blast. I would love to do it again. This is where our parents often took us in the late 1960s......it was a blast. The track wasn't far from our house in SW Houston. It is now defunct and is a field. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GrJHV5O_NIo
