INCREDIBLE JUMBO! 1938 Lou Gehrig Silver Gelatin Portrait Photograph LARGE Format

1938 Lou Gehrig large fomat dispay measuring an AMAZING 11" x 14" breathtaking photo with minor edge wear around the photo. Blue ink was removed on the chest area. Pen indentation remains on the photograph, It's difficult to see. The white mark on the far edge is from the negative, not damage on the photo itself. Border surface peel on the white border and the lower right corner, again difficult to notice. The photo has some waviness to it, but doesn't impede the overall jaw dropping image. Creasing on the bottom right border. Reverse has a blank back showing toning around the edges. 8" x10" team photo laying against the 11" x 14" Gehrig image to give you a visual understanding how large this impressive image is.

This photo originated from the Lou Gehrig estate and was given to a close friend, who was a comedian/actor who spent time with Gehrig before and after his ALS diagnosis.

8" x 10" cropped version sold for $3.4K 10 years ago. Would consider a small trade and money.
