So I just finished my 59 Topps baseball set, which was one of my biggest collecting goals.
The same week, Harvey completely destroyed my aunt and uncle in law's home in Houston- they will likely lose literally everything. So I am contemplating selling the set to help them out (of course, I will then immediately begin rebuilding the set...lol) My question is, what is a fair price for a low grade 59 set? Anyone ever buy one or sell one before? I want to A. Make sure its worth selling and B. make sure I get and give a fair price. Thanks for the help- and for any prayers for my Aunt and Uncle Ed |

Greetings Ed!
I live in Houston. We also know eathother personally through OBC. My advice is to wait for a little while before selling your set to help out. It is going to take months to get a handle on things around here. Insurance, insurance adjusters, contractors, estimates... things are not going to happen quickly. So don't jump into something. If your aunt and uncle are in dire straights in a few months then go ahead, but there is a lot of help for people here. The local community has really stepped up and the nation in general has the gulf coast's back big time. So, take your time in deciding. Thank you! Nate Mack

They may already know this but, if not, have them register with FEMA for assistance...
https://www.disasterassistance.gov Best of luck to them. My family and I were spared, but it's absolutely heartbreaking driving through some of the neighborhoods where the residents lost everything. If they need any help cleaning up, shoot me a PM and I would be happy to help. |

Good luck! I agree the 1200 Range is about right - the high numbers can due well and are always solid sellers - so there should interest out there

My wife and I lost our second home last November in the Gatlinburg fire. FEMA was by far the best to deal with when compared to our mortgage company, insurance company, and the city. They took care of us like they cared where everybody else didn't give two squirts. Props to our government in this case and God bless everybody affected by Harvey. I pray Irma does not cause more catastrophe.
