Hey Folks,
I want to get your opinion on a (possible) first-time crossover attempt for me. I just got this 1975 Topps Yount RC, BVG 9.5 Gem Mint (old case), and am considering sending it to PSA to see if I can get a 10. I've compared it to some PSA 10s and it looks good to me, but what say you? If the back looks a little off center, they're all that way. |

From what I understand the odds are greatly against you on this type of crossover. To me, anything 9 and above looks the same anyway.

Would the print spot in the "B" hurt it?

One of the 10's I compared it to had the same print mark a little higher and to the left, so I don't think so

I think that is a huge roll of the dice. The back is off center and PSA has gotten really tough in the last couple of years. I think the odds of landing a 10 are really high. I would leave in Beckett slab.

Top right corner appears just slightly soft too. I don't think this will cross ever. If you crack out it could be PSA's idea of an 8 or a kiss of death like trimmed or a resub loop of minsizerq. I would leave as is.

always thought PSA can declare a 'best 10' that you can see on psa cert look up to which is the current best 10 |

They could call that one an 11

I see this off center left to right on front and back...I wouldn't send to PSA if it were mine.

DO NOT CRACK OUT. Resubmit multiple times as a crossover if you feel it's PSA worthy, but DO NOT CRACK OUT.

Also make sure it's not "sheet cut". I have two 74s graded BVG 9.5 I tried to cross that came back EOT.

Yes, checking that the card is full size is very important when trying to cross over BGS to PSA. Luckily though, PSA will give you the MINSIZREQ to let you know that's the problem if it doesn't cross. And make sure to specify PSA 10 as the min grade to crossover, unless you'll still be able to make a profit on a PSA 9.

The BVG 9.5 Yount is sheet cut. Zero percent chance it will cross. Zero percent chance it will end up in a numbered PSA holder if broken out and submitted.
