| E98 Cobb color run

Hey, I finally completed by E98 color run so I thought I'd share. I'm pretty happy and hope I can resist the temptation to upgrade. I'll probably start looking for a purple E94 to fit in with the pose. On to the E98 Mathewson run I guess. Feel free to post your E98s !! E98 cobbs 5.jpg |

Very impressive and congrats. I think there is a purple E94 on eBay now. Has a big crease going through in as I recall.

awesome dave! the e94 color run will take the rest of your lifetime to compile...while an e93 will be easy. And hopefully you won Ted's B/W in the last REA. |

Very nice group Dave. Here's one of mine. Not the best of shape but, hey, it used to be Lionel's so I like it a lot. AndyH .

Dave - those 4 cards are sweet. I love this pose. If your quartet represents the Beatles, then my four beaters are kind of like a local garage band which has two bassists and no drummer. But I still love them!

Is there a consensus as to the general ranking of scarcity of the colors as it relates to Cobb? Same question as to the set in genera?

What is evident is the the Black Swamp Find added a significant portion of Red varieties. Here are some raw numbers from PSA and SGC. SGC doesnt subset color varieties and PSA only recently has. Lets look at 3 stars: Ty Cobb- PSA graded 39 before differentiating, SGC has graded 52 - PSA color population: Red-1 Orange-4 Blue-5 Green-3 Black Swamp Red-18 Honus Wagner-PSA graded 31 before differentiating, SGC 72 - PSA Color population: Red-4 Orange-1 Blue-0 Green-2 Black Swamp REd-17 Black Swamp Green-18 Christy Mathewson-PSA graded 19 before differentiating, SGC 48 - PSA color population: Red-4 Orange-1 Blue-2 Green-2 Black Swamp Red-1 The numbers graded since PSA started breaking down color varieties are too small to assume the ratios are similar in their undifferentiated population ( and SGCs) It would appear, however, if you have the cash the Red variety is most plentiful ( in general) Last edited by Stonepony; 05-13-2017 at 12:35 PM. |
